Fresh Off the Boat (FOB)

So after much deliberation and a grand idea from my friend Ko, I decided to change the name of my blog from Fresh Off the Boat to this (My Name is Jin Yeong)..in an attempt to be more original and funny.  I still think the idea of Fob is hilarious though.  For those of you who don't know what this means..
Fresh off the boat

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fresh off the boat (or "F.O.B.") is a politically incorrect phrase used to describe immigrants that have arrived from a foreign nation and have not yet assimilated to the host nation'sculturelanguage, and behavior.[1] It can also be used to describe the stereotypical behavior of new immigrants as, for example, their poor driving skills,[2] and their use of broken English.

It's pretty RUDE, but for even more evidence, check out:  My Mom is a FOB.  We obviously run into this type of thing a lot here in the US, and it's hard not to chuckle at the Engrish.  The sad thing is, this will be me in Korea except, I won't even know any broken Korean.

So anyway, my [Korean] name really is Song Jin Yeong.  Yes, the last name comes first, and no I do not speak any Korean.  I was adopted when I was 3 months old.  I'm as American as they come minus my slanty eyes.  I think this info is crucial in understanding the trip I have ahead of me, and I am positive this will lead to many awkward encounters to document here for your enjoyment.
