blossoms
The cherry blossoms are finally here. They started budding late last week. I went to check them out at at Yeouido and Seoul Forest this weekend. Unfortunately, Yeouido was super packed with people and the trees weren't even blooming yet in most places (except one portion of the street where I was able to snap a photo). It was nice spending the afternoon sitting by the Han River though (until it got cold). On Sunday, we rented bikes and rode along the river and into Seoul Forest. The cherry blossoms were smaller but also had way more blooms than in Yeouido and it was less crowded which is a plus.

Incheon
I had to go out to the airport over the weekend buy my tickets to visit the USA (next month!) so we took a small detour to the actual city of Incheon to see the sea. It was still pretty cold especially with the wind, but the small place we went called Wolmido was really nice! It was a long day of subway/bus/ferry travels, but sometimes it feels good to get out of Seoul even just for a few hours.

Spring
..NOT. It's still cold here. I can't wait for it to get warm enough to stop wearing winter jackets and tights all the time.
I've also proven that I am incapable of updating a blog on the regular. Sorry to my 5 followers.
Last Friday, I met some friends for dinner and drinks and caught the last subway back to my house. Let's just say, it was very clear it was the last train for the night...not an uncommon sight. This has become the norm, but I still find it amusing.
